Established Models:
What is the difference between an agent and a manager?
An agent’s role is to source and book paid work for the model in exchange for a commission.
A manager’s role is to take care of the model’s interests by liaising with the agent, monitoring public image, ensuring the model’s long term career is on-track and facilitating the model’s various training, portfolio, travel, diet and fitness requirements.

New Models:
What do you need to do to be ready for agency representation? What do you need to learn? What do you need in your folio? How do you go about contacting photographers? Local agents? International agents? These are things that are difficult and time consuming to do on your own and it’s even harder to do it when you’re flying blind. If a manager agrees to work with you then the answers to these questions come easily. It’s still hard work, but with someone guiding your every step it’s much easier.
